Carlos de Abreu Carlos de Abreu is the Founder and Executive Producer of the Hollywood Film Awards® (HFA) and current Chair of the HFA Advisory Selection Team. In addition, de Abreu is an Internet pioneer and the founder and CEO of the Hollywood Network® Inc., an entertainment, marketing and live event production company. He was a jet pilot in the Portuguese Air Force and studied economics at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and film at University of California, Los Angeles. His vast experience in brand marketing has earned him executive positions and contracts with Cartier International, American Express and the Italian Government, among others.
