“I didn’t just want to be another pretty body onstage. I wanted to convey a message—that women could be as bad-ass as men,” Jenni.

“Rivera’s biggest virtue is her ability to voice out a fun feminist statement without ever becoming preachy”. The New York Post“She’s a brick house”. New York Village Voice

“Ms. Rivera tells it like it is. She’s the proverbial open book. But it’s her story, so she prefers to write it…”   The Dallas Morning News

As Mexican music’s biggest female star, Long Beach-born Jenny Rivera  upended the female stereotypes that have historically blemished Mexican music. Jenni introduced through song the heretofore radical notion that women could be depicted as real people with ideas and aspirations of their own.

Jenni is a recording star, an electrifying performer, a songwriter, a music producer, a television producer, and a champion for women’s and immigrants’ rights.

She is a National Spokesperson for the NCADV (National Coalitin Against Domestic Violence), volunteered for the Amanecer Foundation and created her own Jenni Rivera Love Foundation to educate women and Latin families on how to combat abuse.
