LOS ANGELES, CA (July 7, 2017) – Legendary Mexican electronic/funk/rock band KINKY released their new album “Nada Vale Más Que Tú” today, on SeitrackUS. It’s their first of all new material since 2012 and marks a return “to the electronic roots that has characterized the group and solidified them as one of the most important bands in Latin America” (Billboard) and a critical favorite. The album was recorded and produced by Gil Cerezo, Carlos Cháirez and Ulises Lozano (of Kinky), mixed by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, M83) and Justin Moshkevish, and features guests Pepe Aquilar, Jarina De Marco, MLKMN and others.
Kinky is part of Film Independent at LACMA’sBring The Noise series, a one-of-a-kind monthly live experience that unites classic movies with new and original film scores performed by contemporary artists such as Jack Antonoff of Bleachers, Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more. Kinky chose the film Weird Science to create a completely original score for it, that they will perform at LACMA on July 20. More information and tickets are available here.
Since its inception 16 years ago, The Grammy winning and 10 x Latin Grammy nominated Kinky has performed all over the world, including Coachella, KCRW Fest, Bumbershoot, Austin City Limits and 6 times in the prestigious Festival Vive Latino, among others. They have also appeared on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Ferguson and the MTV VMAs, toured with The Flaming Lips, Cake, Modest Mouse, De La Soul, Shakira, Los Lonely Boys, Beck, Norah Jones and Vasco Rossi.

LOS ANGELES, CA (7 de julio de 2017) – La legendaria banda mexicana de música electrónica Kinky acaba de lanzar su nueva producción discográfica que lleva por título “Nada Vale Más Que Tú”, a través de SeitrackUS. Producido y grabado por Gil Cerezo, Carlos Cháirez y Ulises Lozano en los Kinky Studios de California, y mezclado por Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, M83) y Justin Moshkevish, este nuevo álbum es el primero de material original de la banda desde 2012 y marca la vuelta de Kinky “a las raíces electrónicas que han caracterizado al grupo y lo han consolidado como una de las bandas más importantes de Latinoamérica” (Billboard).
Kinky, ganador de un premio Grammy y nominado 10 veces al Latin Grammy, cuenta en este proyecto con las colaboraciones de artistas de la talla de Pepe Aguilar, Mariel Mariel, Jarina De Marco, Adrián Dárgelos y el reconocido productor y rapero MLKMN. Los dos primeros singles del álbum, “Desaparecer” y “Te Vas”, han recibido elogios de crítica y público.
Así mismo, el grupo es parte de las series de Film Independent en LACMA: Bring The Noise, una experiencia mensual de música en vivo que combina películas y shows de televisión clásicos con bandas sonoras nuevas y originales, interpretadas por artistas como Jack Antonoff de Bleachers, Nick Zinner de Yeah Yeah Yeahs y más.
