COLBIE CAILLAT’S DEBUT ALBUM COCO JUMPS TO #14 ON BILLBOARD & #1 ON ITunes
Newcomer Maintains Momentum in Sales & Radio
Universal Republic Records’ rising star, Colbie Caillat’s debut album COCO has jumped to 14* (from 29*) on the Billboard album chart and is #l on ITunes. The album was released in July and debuted at #5 on Billboard and #1 on ITunes, and the first single from the album “Bubbly” continues to increase momentum at radio.

The acclaimed young star (‘She’s become the Norah Jones successor’ wrote USA Today) has maintained a formidable presence and momentum on both charts, certifying Caillat’s place as one of the most popular new artists to emerge from the fertile launching grounds of online social networking communitiy myspace. It was Caillat’s low key, inviting myspace site where fans across the globe and her record company first discovered the singer’s laid back song-crafting skills.
The power of myspace around the world has connected Caillat’s music with fans in other countries: COCO is #6 in New Zealand and the single “Bubbly’ is #6 in Germany and is on Radio 2 in the UK. The album will be released next month in the UK and Europe.
Hailed by one critic as ‘A balmy blend of folk and pop with hints of Nelly Furtado and yes, Fleetwood Mac,’ the California native is currently touring the U.S.
