TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS WEEK

MIAMI, FL - LUIS MIGUEL’S record breaking Mexico en la Piel Tour 2005-2006 returns to the U.S. in time to celebrate the artist’s 25th anniversary in music. The critically acclaimed tour kicks off Friday, April 7th, at the Sacramento Arco Center, and continues on to Anaheim’s Arrowhead Pond, San Diego’s Cox Arena, The Staple Center, Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and other cities for a total of 25 shows in the U.S. Tickets from some dates go on sale this week.
The Mexico en la Piel Tour has set attendance records. In Los Angeles, the tour sold out five shows at the Gibson Amphitheatre, and last Monday, February 27th, LUIS MIGUEL concluded his Mexico en la Piel concert tour in Mexico City and was honored by the Auditorio Nacional with “La Estela de Plata” in recognition for his historic acomplishment of selling out 30 shows with a combined attendance of 300, 000 people. This breaks the previous record, also held by Luis Miguel, and it is the first time that any artist has received the award.
During the 23rd show, he was presented a Diamante Award and a Triple Platinum Award by Warner Music for nearly a million sales in Mexico for México en la Piel. He also received a Quadruple Platinum Award for his recent Grandes Exitos CD and a Double Platinum for the DVD version of the project
“Si Te Perdiera”, the second single from LUIS MIGUEL’S Grandes Exitos album, was released to radio this week. The song was produced by Luis Miguel and written by Manuel Alejandro.
México en la Piel earned a Latin Grammy for Best Ranchero Album and a Latin Grammy for Best Mexican/Mexican American Album.
