Tonight in the State Capitol of New York, Nuyorican rap leader N.O.R.E. will be honored with the Legislative Arts Council and Cultural Award by the New York State Assembly as part of a two-day event hosted by the Puerto Rican / Hispanic Task Force of the NY State Assembly. The multi-platinum selling artist, who set the clubs and streets on fire in 2004 with the “national anthem of reggaeton, “Oye Mi Canto”, will also attend a panel workshop on Saturday along with Robert Castillo, Vice-President of the Roc La Familia label.
Roc la Familia is an extension of Roc-A-Fella Records and is headquartered in New York. Roc La Familia will be releasing a new album from N.O.R.E. in July.
