This announcement marks another important date in Latin music history as these inductees will be the first ones to be honor in the inaugural gala of the official Hall of Fame for Latin Songwriters; an organization created to recognize and spotlight the artistic achievements of Latin Music songwriters, just as the Songwriters Hall of Fame in NYC honors the achievements of English language songwriters
