Alejandro Sanz, the most successful Spanish recording artist in history and the #l Latin Grammy winner of all time, will kick off the US leg of his EL TREN DE LOS MOMENTOS TOUR 2007 in Las Vegas on Wednesday June 6.
The first leg of the tour runs through July 8th, includes l6 shows in l5 cities including Los Angeles, Washington, Houston and New York (see below for all dates). A second leg will commence in November. Sanz’s single, “Te lo agradezco pero no”, the second worldwide hit track from the critically acclaimed El Tren de los momentos (November 06) album, is #l on the Billboard chart of Hot Latin Tracks this week.
Sanz’s performances are legendary for their mix of world class production and sophisticated musicianship. On the new tour, Sanz will perform with some of the best musicians in the world (see lineup below). The show will feature songs from his current hit album El Tren de los momentos and other favorites.
Sanz is one of the most respected composers/performers in the world, selling more than 21 million albums, receiving over 200 Platinum Albums and numerous awards around the world, including MTV, Premios lo nuestro, l4 Latin Grammys and a Grammy. People Magazine has said: “… Sanz continues to shine among all the Latin pop artists… with his sophisticated way of composing and his musical versatility”.
El Tren de los momentos, Sanz’s seventh album, was released to critical raves and the first single “A la primera persona” was among his biggest hits yet, and his first to break into the Billboard Hot l00 chart. Stylistically similar to No Es Lo Mismo yet significantly more refined, El Tren de los Momentos is also notable for its several superstar features, which include collaborations with Shakira, Juanes, Alex González of Maná, and Residente of Calle l3.
