WHO: Nashville based band Gone West, comprised of Multi Grammy-winner Colbie Caillat, multiplatinum songwriter, Grammy winning songwriter & Caillat collaborator Jason Reeves, Hawaiian recording artist Justin Kawika Young (11 #1s in Hawaii) and Academy of Country Music and CMT Award nominee Nelly Joy.

Gone West’s single What Could’ve Been was added to over 45 major market radio stations the day it went to radio on July 15, the same day they performed on Kelly & Ryan, making it the song with the most first week adds by a debut artist this year.
All songs on their project are written by the band plus occasionally a songwriter like Liz Rose (with whom Colbie collaborated before this project). This is a very new country/Americana project…song and story driven. Produced and co-produced by the band, Gone West’s music brings a new freshness to modern country, straddling singer/songwriter vulnerability, Iowan humility, Lone Star tenacity and Hawaiian steel guitar.   The playing is spare enough the instruments and voices shine, while the lyrics, which offer a heart-positive embrace of life, stand-out in the mix.
