The Tim Bergling Foundation and Avicii Arena held the first ever AVICII ARENA TOGETHER FOR A BETTER DAY concert today at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. During the evening, Avicii’s father, Klas Bergling, announced that the Tim Bergling Foundation will build a number of music studios in some of Sweden’s most vulnerable areas to encourage the creativity of young people and provide more opportunities for meaningful leisure activities. Mohammed Ali, the powerhouse behind the Hammarkullen youth club Minimix, was awarded the first Tim Bergling Foundation prize.

Among the performers at the concert – broadcast live by SVT (Swedish national television), SR (Swedish national radio) and Youtube – were some of Sweden’s most popular and promising artists.

American ”Ghost Town” phenomenon Benson Boone said: ”What a blessing to be able to perform in honor of Tim. He has been an inspiration for my music and will continue to inspire millions.”

When the 16,000 capacity landmark building Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm in May was renamed Avicii Arena in tribute to the late Swedish superstar, it became world news, and the video where 14-year old Ella Tiritiello and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra perform their version of Avicii’s song ”For A Better Day” was viewed by the millions. The now 15-year old Ella Tiritiello performed ”For A Better Day” in the company of her idol Zara Larsson, who had praised Ella’s previous performance, and The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.

AVICII MUSEUM INAUGURATED BY SWEDISH PRINCE, PRINCESS, AND TIM’S FATHER KLAS BERGLING

Today, at 10.00, Stockholm’s new interactive museum Avicii Experience was inaugurated by Tim’s father Klas Bergling and H.R.H Prince Carl Philip and H.R.H Princess Sofia. Other participants were curator Ingmarie Halling, Content Producer Lisa Halling-Aadland and Per Sundin, CEO Pophouse Entertainment.

Press Info and Images: HERE

Avicii Experience is an emotional tribute museum honoring one of the true icons of modern dance music and popular culture: Tim Bergling. Behind the museum is Pophouse Entertainment and Space in close collaboration with Tim’s family, friends and colleagues. Part of the proceeds go in full to the Tim Bergling Foundation. On Saturday 26th of February Avicii Experience opens to the public. For further information go to: https://aviciiexperience.com

Museum visitors will enter 300 square meters filled with contemporary music history, and for fans – mythical events and places that shaped Avicii as an artist. Through music, private photos, newly produced videos and personal belongings we get to follow Tim’s path from reserved music enthusiast in inner Stockholm to internationally celebrated superstar. The museum also gives unique insight into Tim’s creative process. Via recent interviews, the visitor is enabled to meet many of the artists and musicians that Tim collaborated with. Previously unreleased music is also an important part of Avicii Experience.

“Avicii changed modern dance music and led a pioneering revolution of the global EDM scene. He was, without a doubt, one of the most influential producers, artists and songwriters of our time, so it feels obvious and fantastic that Tim now has his own museum, in the middle of the city where he grew up,” says Per Sundin, CEO Pophouse Entertainment and co-founder of Avicii Experience.

The museum is built like a time travel through various rooms where visitors are involved in creating the experience. The museum starts in Tim’s boyhood room and moves on to his and Ash’s first studio, Earfile Studios, in an Östermalm basement, where the original studio setup has been rebuilt. Further down the museum is the studio located in Tim’s Los Angeles home at Blue Jay Way. The Los Angeles part of the museum also features Tim’s beloved grand piano. As you approach the grand piano, you will hear the song Sunset Jesus playing in an instrumental piano version, exclusively recorded for Avicii Experience, produced by Tim’s friend and co-producer Carl Falk.

“Tim would have been incredibly proud to be represented like this. The mix of a new digital take in combination with a classic museum would have appealed to him,” says Klas Bergling.

“An important part of Avicii Experience is the focus on the experience. Many of the fans have grown up with Tim’s music and here they can explore and interact with the songs via custom-made objects and installations. For example, you can create your own Levels mix with different sounds and effects on a touchscreen, says Lisa Halling-Aadland, Content Producer Avicii Experience.

Another example is the “VR karaoke” part of the museum, where visitors can enter a vocal booth, put on a headset and travel to a music studio to “meet” Sandro Cavazza, Aloe Blacc or Carl Falk, a few of Tim’s co-producers and musicians. A new, fun and bit more personal karaoke experience.

“It’s been an exciting but difficult task to create the Avicii Experience Museum. We are very happy with the result and it gives the visitor a chance to explore Tim’s music and life in many different ways thanks to the trans medial storytelling,” says Ingmarie Halling, Creative director/Curator.

Apart from Avicii’s incredible success and creative collaborations, the museum also sheds light on the heavier sides of the endless travel and gigs. For example, the exhibition features a visually and acoustically intense room, exemplifying the backsides of being a celebrated and constantly monitored superstar.

FIRST EVER “AVICII ARENA TOGETHER FOR A BETTER DAY” CONCERT IS DECEMBER 1

A UNIQUE CONCERT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEALTH PUT TOGETHER BY THE TIM BERGLING FOUNDATION AND AVICII ARENA

The Tim Bergling Foundation and Avicii Arena announced today the first AVICII ARENA TOGETHER FOR A BETTER DAY concert will be December 1 at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. Tickets will be released on October 13 at 10.00 via www.aviciiarena.se

The concert was created to draw attention to the need to help young people struggling with mental health issues and suicide and the alarming statistics that show their struggles increasing.  This AVICII ARENA TOGETHER FOR A BETTER DAY concert is intended to be the first of an annual event. The name of the concert was derived from the Tim Bergling Foundation’s work with the For A Better Day fundraiser, where young people posted their ideas about what they need to have a better future.

“I hope we succeed in creating a feeling that we really do this together, because it is only together that we can make a difference,” says Klas Bergling. “Young people are our future and we must be afraid for them. It is unacceptable that they are getting worse and that suicide rates are rising in that group – and it is our duty to do what we can to break that trend.”

Artists performing at the concert will come from multiple genres including EDM, classical music, rock,  pop, R’n’B, and hip hop.   The event highlights mostly Swedish artists including Håkan Hellström, Miriam Bryant, Galantis, Amason, Annika Norlin, Cherrie, A36, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and more. 14-year-old rising star Ella Tiritiello, who captured the world’s attention with her rendition of Avicii’s song “For A Better Day” at the inauguration of the Avicii Arena will also perform, and the evening will include tributes to Avicii’s musical heritage as well as collaborations and surprise guests.   Stefan Olsson will be conducting the evening.

In May when the iconic landmark Ericsson Globe changed its name to Avicii Arena to honor Tim Bergling/aka Avicii,  it was announced that in addition to its usual activities with concerts, sports and other events, the arena would be a meeting place for young people’s mental health.  The vision is to remove the stigma surrounding mental health, reduce mental illness among young people and get more people involved in the issue.  Of paramount importance is to show what strength and power there is in young people if they are given the right tools and conditions.

At the end of last year, the foundation started the project For A Better Day, named after an Avicii song. The initiative is about collecting young people’s ideas, thoughts, experiences and concrete suggestions on what they need for a better tomorrow. On September 1, these answers were handed over to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven. The answers will also form the basis for the foundation’s work against mental illness in the coming years.

Court dismisses Robson claims against Michael Jackson Estate for 3rd time

The Los Angeles Superior Court this morning ruled against Wade Robson in CASE NO. BC508502 in claims against corporations owned by Michael Jackson and/or the Estate of Michael Jackson and dismissed his case again. The Michael Jackson Estate is represented by the late Howard Weitzman and Jonathan Steinsapir of Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump LLP.  Statement from Mr. Steinsapir:
“As of today, a summary judgment AGAINST Wade Robson has been granted three different times by two different judges of the Superior Court.
“Wade Robson has spent the last 8 years pursuing frivolous claims in different lawsuits against Michael Jackson’s estate and companies associated with it.  Robson has taken nearly three dozen depositions and inspected and presented hundreds of thousands of documents trying to prove his claims, yet a Judge has once again ruled that Robson’s claims have no merit whatsoever, that no trial is necessary and that his latest case is dismissed,”  said Jonathan Steinsapir, attorney for the Estate of Michael Jackson.
