LOS ANGELES – OCTOBER 29, 2015 – Superstar, performer, songwriter and 30-million-selling recording artist GLORIA TREVI this year released EL AMOR, a gender bending masterpiece produced by multiple GRAMMY award-winning Humberto Gatica, and it went straight to #1 on the Billboard Top Album chart.
The world has come to expect the unexpected from the acclaimed performer and she did not disappoint on EL AMOR, singing about love from both a man and woman’s point of view. Although Gloria is one of the Latin world’s most respected and prolific songwriters, having penned for herself and others over 400 songs, on EL AMOR she interpreted some of Latin music’s classic love hits, including the smash single “Como Yo Te Amo.” The album is accompanied by a DVD with videos of the songs – on half, Gloria performs as a woman, and on the others, she is dressed as a man.
Gloria took her groundbreaking ‘dual identity’ to the concert stage release week, kicking off her acclaimed El Amor Tour at the prestigious Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Sexy, beautiful, sometimes lusty, the powerful performer purred the love songs and belted others.
